Testing natural light for product photography

I wanted to see how well natural sourced light will work for this project. Unfortunately I wasn't pleased with the outcome. Although most of the pictures weren't great I got some inspiration in terms of the set ups of the shots.

I tried to drop coins on the set up to get some high shutter speed shot but, unfortunately the light wasn't strong enough. Those are some of the shot I have gotten from this test.

Second try with product photography

This time I used a desk lap and my phone flash to create some product shots. This time I got some great shots but some of them were slightly out of focus and others just didn't work so my next try is to try recreate the shots that didn't turn out great. Those are the shots that I really like. The following are the ones I can improve. I want to get a much batter picture of the deck of playing cards spread as is showed in the first picture. I really love the picture of the jokers, but I missed focus as I used fully manual focus for it. So, I will recreate the same picture. I also what to show the faced cards as they all are unique unlike an ordinary deck.
